Today’s post is going to introduce you to a couple new characters to look forward to in Sacred Ruse, book 2 of the Guild Trilogy. Honestly, bringing in these two characters was one of my favourite parts of writing this book. (Both photos from Pinterest)

The first character I want to introduce you to is Kuen. He is an ex-assassin who has been hiding out from the Charger for 8 years. He is probably my second favourite character next to Bast, though the two are not alike at all. Kuen used to be Agent One at the Guild, until he disappeared one night without an explanation, never to return. He hates the assassins about as much as our main character, Silent Night, but he often has trouble working through the dark side of his past and mental state. Kuen is a very troubled soul. He blames himself for a lot of things out of his control and is only loyal to a select few. His anger sometimes is balanced on the edge of a blade, but deep down, his heart is in the right place.

The second new character in Sacred Ruse is Callum Joseph O’Reilly, who Silent Night refers to by his last name unless she’s in a really good mood. Callum is an interesting addition to the story. He was first written as a parallel to Natalie Sophia Roseanne, who has more of a background role in this book, but he soon evolved into something more. Callum is a goody two shoes character, one of the soldiers of the Resistance. He ‘joins’ the team in a guard role (I won’t say for who) and let’s just say no one is really happy about it. Silent thinks he has no back bone, but eventually she will see how wrong she was.
And that’s all I have for you today, just a short post to give you guys a little more insight into my second novel. Stay tuned for my next post, which will be on book reviews.
