This month, I thought it would be fun to interview one of the readers of Silent Night to get an impartial look at the story. I talked with Rae Marie Cole, a 22 year old reader. Rae beta read the first and second book through Google Docs and has the first book in paperback. You can find her on Instagram at sonny_quinn97 . Q: How long ago did you first read Silent Night?
A: Around a year? I honestly don’t remember since life has been crazy this last year.
Q: What was your first impression of the book?
A: I fell in love with the very first sentence. I remember my thoughts being, “Wow. This is going to be epic.”
Q: How many stars would you give the book?
A: Totally five star rating!
Q: What three words would you use to describe the book?
A: Suspenseful. Breathtaking. Epic.
Q: What was your favourite aspect of the book?
A: The world-building of the city and Assassins tunnels and the Resistance.
Q: What was your least favourite aspect?
A: Honestly, I don’t think I have one.
Q: Which character would you most like to be friends with?
A: Bast or Silent.
Q: If you had to pick one character to kill off, who would it be?
A: Jenson. He kept getting on my nerves. :)
Q: How did you feel about Haven City, the setting of the story?
A: It seemed like such a sad hopeless city. Surrounded by conflict and fear.
Q: You just finished beta reading book 2. What can you tell readers about it?
A: You won’t regret reading it. Especially if you’ve read book one. Emma turns every plot idea you have on its head.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add to the interview?
A: Read the books. I cannot explain their epicness. You have to see it and become enthralled yourself. I want to thank Emma for allowing me to be a part of her beta team. It was such an honour!
